It is now safe to say that Steven Gerrard’s Rangers will overtake Neil Lennon’s Celtic this season.
The Rangers are still unstoppable in the Scottish courtship this season, and as Celtic have improved in recent weeks, it is hard to see the Gers have collapsed one late.
The Gers are currently on top with 79 points from 29 matches, while second and bitter Old Firm rivals Celtic have scored 58 points from 27 matches.

Celtic have suffered scorching heat this season, and club veteran David Provan said what former Rangers president Dave King once said about the hoops.
In May 2018, the then Rangers’ chairman, King, said on Sky Sports: “We appoint a manager who can win the game, with more resources, and we take a league away from Celtic.” We only need one league. We do not need two or three. we need it. Once we take one, it is a packet of cards.
The Rangers are now on the verge of claiming the league title and preventing Celtic from reaching 10 in a row, and Provan said the Kings are perfect, joking that they should send thanks to the Hoops’ table.

Provan wrote in The Scottish Sun: “Every dog has a day, so I am not blaming Dave King for a good jubilee over the Celtic collapse. Good for Scottish Football?
Celtic have won the league title in Scotland over the past nine seasons, and the Rangers are set to win it this time to make the Scottish top flight more interesting.
It is good and important for Scottish football that Celtic and Rangers regularly compete for the title rather than just the Hoops winning it all the time.
