Next weekend the city of Eugento will be the protagonist of the “Incantarium” project, the interactive show-review that tells “places to visit” with a story based on a selection from a large and rare collection of ancient impossible objects. and the magical-scientific installation by Alexis Arts.
Appointments are scheduled for Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 October at the San Giovanni Lighthouse in Ugento. Saturdays from 16.00 to 19.30 and on Sundays from 10.00 to 13.00 and from 16.00 to 19.30. The aim of the project is the realization of an educative-creative path that leads to an exploration of the growth of the lighthouses and towers of the Puglia region and their important role in the history of the region. The chosen theme of “Communicate, Explore, Observe” was inspired by the features of the towers of Puglia and in particular the San Giovanni Lighthouse and will describe the different modes of observation, discovery and communication with magical-scientific installations. Coast towers and lighthouses had the role of communicating a variety of messages to sailors and people in the area, both near and far and located in the area of another lighthouse or tower on the coast. They published and thanks to this they explored the sea or the surrounding area and were equipped with instruments that allowed them to see and then report a message that had passed from land to sea. So the themes “communicate, explore, observe” presented in a magical key through scientific installations, thanks to the inventors who first conceived them, evoke a sense of awe.
