Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Bubayang has confirmed that he has turned down an offer from Barcelona to sign a new long-term deal at the Emirates.

The 31-year-old finally ended speculation about his future by signing a three-year deal in north London earlier this month, becoming the club’s second-highest paid player in the process.

Ub Bameyang allowed his contract to enter its final year with the Gunners and exited while Unai Emery was at the helm.

If the former Dortmund forward informs Arsenal that he will not sign an extension, the club will have very little option but to cash in on the striker.

Thanks to him, Ub Bameyang decided to stay but the striker has revealed that he rejected La Liga giants Barcelona’s rejected fur to do so.

“They were a lot of offers, especially from Barcelona,” Bameyang told the Canal.

‘My priority was to stay for two reasons – the first coach, Mikel Arteta, because we spoke a fair amount during the‘ lockdown ’and he assured me especially in terms of the project.

‘And of course, secondly, it’s the love I get from the club’s fans and people.

‘Since I’ve been here, I have been treated like their own and I will be here because I am theirs. It’s as simple as that. ‘

Ub Bameyang joined the club in 2018 for a fee of 57 57 million but he paid for it with 72 goals in 112 appearances for the Gunners.

Barcelona allowed Luis Suarez to join Atletico Madrid earlier this week and Ronald Commonweb is looking forward to signing a further mobile center in the Bay of Biscay.

The Catalans started their La Liga campaign on Sunday night with a 4-0 win over Emery Villarreal, although Kamen admitted he was keen to sign the striker.

“It’s always nice to have a ‘9’ but you can play without one,” Comen said.
