Hot email exchange between Richard Greenil, the temporary president of the John F. Kennedy for theatrical arts, and left one of his musical artists “Sarm” because of what she described as “strange” interaction.

“Greenil looked up” was strongly upset, “the musician Yasmine Williams told CNN in an interview on Thursday. Some offers; and the elimination of members of the Board of Directors.

“I was shocked at first if anything was because, frankly, I thought it was fake. I thought it was like, was this Chatgpt? Like, what is this?” Williams said. “He does not respond as I assume that the CEO is temporarily or not, to the Kennedy Center will respond to an email. He was just a stranger.”

Music Greenil wondered about the recent changes, and wrote via e -mail, “Does the president actually care about artists who abolish the performances at the Kennedy Center?

“Let me ask you this question, will you play with the Republicans or will you reside if the Republicans come to your show?” Said Greenil, one of Trump, who has named Trump to the role of the manager in February.

“It had no meaning at all,” said Williams CNN Greenil.

CNN contacted the Kennedy and Greenil Center for comment.

The Stock Exchange puts Trump’s aggressive batch to reshape the Kennedy Center to the sharp focus, as the theatrical arts complex in Washington, DC, was directed to the middle of cultural wars.

“Only last year, the Kennedy Center was characterized by clouds that target our youth specifically – this will stop. The Kennedy Center is an American jewel, and it must reflect the brightest stars on the stage from all over our nation,” the president posted on social media in February.

The president targeted the center in a large number of changes, including the refusal of the Board of Directors and the confirmation of itself as its chairman in February.

Artists, including Issa Ray, Shunda Rims and Bin Forsi, resigned from their leadership roles or canceled the events in space in response to the changes, while the center canceled the performances, including the “Finnish” music.

During the stock exchange, Williams wrote in an email he played for the Republicans before and that “boycotting anything because the Republicans are present and may be in a meaningless offer.” Greenil answered that the artists who canceled their performances did so because they could not be in the presence of the Republicans and advised the music not to “naive” and “swallow what the media tell you.”

“Your people also screaming and harassing the vice president who simply wanted to enjoy music with his wife for the night. Who is not tolerance?” Greenil continued, referring to the incident last month in which Vice President JD Vance was screaming when he entered a concert hall at the Kennedy Center.

In another email message, Greenil told the musician, “Yes, I cut the Dei’s nonsense because we cannot pay people to program FRENINGE and a specialized that the audience will not support. Yes, I cut people who get more than $ 500 annually because we owe.”

Williams, who is black, criticized his Dei’s comments as “terrible and ridiculous.”

The musician said that the current and former employees who recently worked in the center have been contacted with it since then Instagram post She said that the e -mail exchange is a viral gold, and told her that it is “nice and really refreshing to find out how they talk to us and how they deal with us.”

The Kennedy Center is among a number of cultural institutions targeted by Trump as part of a broader batch to influence American arts and culture since the beginning of his second term. Last month, his administration directed to check and threaten the financing of the Smithsonian Foundation to force the federal museums to “remove the incorrect ideology” from its exhibitions. It was specifically targeted the National Museum of American -African History and Culture and the Smithsonian Museum of American Arts to hold exhibitions and enhance the language it considered inappropriate.

The president also signed an order last month as he directs the Museum and Libraries Services Corporation, among many other government entities, to “eliminate the maximum in accordance with the applicable law.”
