Biden: The First Dogs are taken to the White House – pioneers and heroes

The White House is safe again. Because it is now eight feet guard …

Soon after the new US President Joe Biden and his wife Jill, the couple’s dogs, the champion and the Major, went to the White House on Sunday. Apparently, German shepherds wandered directly into the garden of their new residence, with no problems at all, as shown by photographs released by the White House. The White House has not had “first dogs” since Barack Obama presided.

A spokesperson for the first lady, Michael Leroza, reported on Monday that the champ is enjoying his new dog bed by the fireplace and loves to run in the South Lawn. Champion has been with Biden and wife Jill since 2008. Biden took the German Shepherd to prominence in animal shelters in 2018. Biden’s team said he was the first White House shelter dog.

The two four-legged friends were the first domesticated in the White House in four years. While former President Obama kept the Portuguese water dog Poe and his predecessor, George W. Bush, who owned a Scottish terrier named Barney, Donald Trump violated this animal tradition. He was the first President of the United States in over a century without a dog.

The former president is considered a meticulous hygiene fanatic: “What if you walked with a dog across the lawn of the White House,” Trump sank in a video. Biden also used it on the campaign site, which says, “Choose your people wisely.”
