Chase fans have since been heartbroken Joel Dommet lost in the biggest single prize pot ever.
The comedian was a contestant on tonight’s Celebrity Edition of the ITV game show, and was the only player to make it to the final chaser.
If he won, he would be able to take home 150,000 for a charity of his choice.
Joel Jenny’s ‘The Vixen’ was against Ryan, who offered him a whopping £ 150,000.
Joel was a big step out of his previous questions, winning ય 4,000 from host Bradley Walsh, so he decided to go for it.
Unfortunately, the 35-year-old eventually failed to beat Jenny, only managing to get 11 tiles in the final round.
Although Joel was not able to win the top prize, he was able to snatch £ 1000 for his chosen charity, The Teenage Cancer Trust.
Despite losing, Jenny told Joel he should be proud of himself, while he added that in the future he should return to the show so they can face it again.
Fans on Twitter were devastated both ways, with the same text: ‘Oh dear, Joel has lost it.’
Another added: ’14 unfortunate Joel you lose. ‘
The third viewer said, ‘Ah, tough on your own Joel.’
However, others were still very impressed that Joel made this far ahead of the show even though he didn’t win.
One person wrote, ‘Incredible scenes on #TheChase HQ, where Joel Dommet took Vixon for 000 150,000.
One fan weighed in: ‘Brilliant work, Joel. You don’t get a chance in the final chase, but with a nice header. ‘
