Ha Ou Stun – Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner has issued a statement following curfews imposed in Baxter County and San Antonio.
“I cannot deny anything,” the statement said. “Our behavior, the spread of this virus and the impact on the health care delivery system ultimately indicate our response.”
His remarks will be heard by Baxter County Judge Nelson Wolf and San Antonio Mayor Nirenberg on Thursday, November 26 from 10pm to 5pm and Monday, Nov. 30. Will be extended to 30 November. These efforts are due to fears that the weekend will end at the end of the Thanksgiving COVID-19 cases, KSAT reported.
People are not allowed to gather outside their homes during the imposed curfew, except when taking services from a business. Restaurants, including those with an outdoor service area, have to close their dining services at 10pm until the curfew period ends. Organizations may continue to provide drive-through, curbside or takeout service after 10pm and will resume dine-in service at 6am during the curfew period. The amended public health order encourages dine-in food service providers to give only curbside or takeouts until the curfew ends on Monday. Individuals or organizations violating curfew rules. Penalties of up to Rs.1000 may be provided.
