An Aldi employee celebrates his 25th birthday at a German supermarket in Ayrshire

A supermarket clerk in Ayrshire is celebrating his 25th birthday.

Kirsty Kerr has crossed a milestone at Aldi – she came to him in 1996.

She currently works as a sales clerk for a subsidiary in Saltcott, but has worked faithfully in several branches of the company in Ayrshire over the years.

Kirsty Aldi joined the team just two years after the German giant opened its first Scottish store.

She said: “It has been a great honor to have worked at Aldi for over 25 years.

“I loved working here and it’s the clients and colleagues that make the local company a great place to work.”
