Another live show for Little Mix: The search has been canceled at the last minute because of PM Boris Johnson is holding a coronavirus press conference on the crisis.
By tonight the remaining five bands were to battle to defend their place in the competition.
However, a BBC spokesman confirmed to Metro.co.uk that the live show had been postponed due to a last-minute press conference on Downing Street.
Releasing a statement on his official facial Twitter account, a spokesperson for the show explained: ‘The search for the Little Mix: BBC News Special has been postponed tonight.
‘The show will now be part of the final weekend with the semi-final broadcast on Friday, November 7th, and on Saturday, November 7th at 0.05pm.’
Next weekend five groups – ByeBand New Priority, Girl Vocal Group Nostalgia, Girl Dance Group Meladase, RNB and Hip Hop Group Y Change, and Live Instrumental Band, will be the winners from September.
The winning band will go on to support Little Mix on their UK tour next year.
After his cabinet meeting in the afternoon, he will be joined by Chief Scientific Adviser Sir Patrick Vallens and Chief Medical Officer Professor Chris Whitty for the briefing.
England’s hospitals are on the verge of flooding amid concerns that the country could move towards another national lockdown as early as next week, following reports.
Mr Johnson has resisted calls to implement a nationwide ‘circuit-breaker’ downdown, opting for local controls under the tire system instead.
But reports on Saturday suggest the prime minister is now considering shutting down everything except the necessary shop and education settings from Wednesday to try and keep the spiral infection at bay.
The search airs on Little Mix The BBC One.
