Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney seek redress after Ted Lasso joke

Ted Lasso Apple TV+

On Twitter, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney wrote a letter to the apple brand. After a joke made by Ted Lasso in Season 2, they demand culinary compensation.

The new season of Ted Lasso is followed. While the series broke viewership records on Apple TV+ by securing the best start to the stage, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have reacted on Twitter to a sentence made in this second round of episodes.

As a reminder, Ryan Reynolds (dead pool) and Rob McElhenney (mythic quest) bought Scottish club Wrexham AFC in 2020. This unprecedented transaction was noted through Jeremy Swift’s character in the series. “I can’t tell if it’s a joke or not”. A small picnic that could not have gone unnoticed, if Ryan Reynolds had not been a supporter of the social network.

He shared a letter sent to the Apple brand on Twitter. As always with the actor, it’s time for fun.

“While (…) we are honored to be mentioned by a forum that has given us quality shows from Season 1 to Season 2 of Mythic Quest (written by Rob McElhenney editor’s note), we need to stress that You should stop questioning our dedication to the club, its fans and the Wrexham community.”.

He also said that to avoid lawsuits, Apple TV+ teams should send him cookies baked by Ted Lasso.

Apple doesn’t lack humor

The reaction of the forum was not long in coming. “We like caretakers like Roy Kent, who’s tough on the outside, but sweet cuteness on the inside. Cookies are in the way”.

As a reminder, Ted Lasso follows the adventures of an American football coach who finds himself at the head of an English football club. With the aim of leading his players to victory, he faces a major problem: he knows nothing about the game.
