The Scottish government announced on Thursday that nightclubs in the area would be closed for three weeks from 27 December in an effort to prevent infections caused by the coronavirus.

As Senior Deputy Minister John Swine explained, the new restrictions are meant to close all clubs that cannot operate “by the rules”.

Swine’s announcement came before the Scottish Parliament’s Recovery Committee, reports the British BBC television channel. “Now that we are engaged in this area, we propose that the clubs remain closed for three weeks,” he said.

“While the ability to operate within established safety distances is still on the table, we believe regulation, combined with financial support, can help reduce losses and help these businesses cope with our expectation . Have less time. Until they can work. Normally again”,

Scottish Chief Minister Nicola Sturgeon on Tuesday announced new restrictions on events, limiting capacity to 500 for events held abroad and 200 indoors.
