Pottery-filled rooms used for daily needs have emerged in the structures here. Researchers have found pottery, rings, amulets, colored utensils, pottery and handicrafts. The city seems to have survived during the reign of King Amnhotep-3. Coins with their markings are found here. King Tutankhamun, who was recognized as the Golden Age during Pharaoh’s reign, is fortunate to become the grandfather of King Amanhot-3. Researchers believe that the city also existed during the reign of Tutankhamun and later kings.
In this historic city, ruins of temples, thousands of sculptures, artifacts, pottery, kitchens and cemeteries have been unearthed. Residential premises are on one side. Currently only the northern part of the city has been excavated. The southern part is to be fully identified. Leading archaeologist Zahi Hawas said that the city once flourished as the largest administrative center and industrial base in the Pharaoh’s empire. The sights of this city, which existed thousands of years ago, were never seen before.
