Fleet Cruise: Going to Scotland next summer!

Scotland, its lochs and its distillation! In the current context, a proposal made jointly by SNT (Société Nautique de la Trinité-sur-Mer) and SRC (Société des Régates de Concarneau) could not come at a better time.

Last summer, the SRC was successful (in the extreme) in organizing a rally-cruise to the Azores for the fourteen crew who had an amazing trip. The hospitality of the islanders, like the ancient landscape of the Azores, lived up to their reputation! With this success, the Concernoise intends to move towards the Azores by fully shifting this rally for two years. But what to do without years?

Azores and Scotland Alternatively

The answer lies in this regard with SNT, which will hold another rally in Scotland. It is in any case the destination for this first edition which will close at the end of June off the Breton coast. The fleet will be open to monohull and multihull sailboats between 9 and 16 meters. Depending on the number of registrants, it is planned to establish several groups of boats of similar size and speed, the groups of which can be moved to stop ranges in the main Marin. For safety reasons, the AIS transponder will be mandatory, and the crew must be composed of at least two people.

Registration open

SNT will offer registrants various preparation and presentation workshops on various topics: offshore navigation, anchors, routes, weather forecasts, and more. Registration is open. For this first version, the number of sailboats will be limited to 30. So that everyone can think about it and by now, A schedule has been established. Time is planned to allow for possible driver changes in Dublin or Oban, cities that each airport benefits from. Some organized stopovers and some meeting dates and locations will get the crew to get to know each other. Otherwise, navigation is free, everyone can choose the anchors they want to search. Only a few major events will be set at the end of June, to bring together the entire fleet of rallies on the Isle of Skye. Organizers will contact clubs and marinas where participants can be offered a stopover.
