France burns with Scotland’s ‘ultra dangerous’ Russell

Midfielder Matthew Jalibert has said he is wary of Scotland’s “ultra-dangerous” Finn Russell as Ireland kept on track for a six-nation Grand Slam following Sunday’s win.

Les Bleus welcomed Russell’s men, who lost to Wales by one point on Saturday, after defeating England a week earlier in the third game of the campaign on February 28, as they awaited their first win in 11 years .

Jalibert of the Bordeaux-Beggles is the top scorer in the Six Nations and is set to face Russell, the best middleweight in Racing 92, once again finding himself in the top 14 in January.

After a 15–13 win at the Aviva Stadium, Jalibert said, “He is an incredible player who is capable of making a difference at any time.”

“He is super dangerous and he is someone I think we need to focus on to put pressure on him. In general, Scotland is a team that is making great progress.”

The win in Dublin was France’s first in the Irish capital since 2011, and post-match social media images showed Fabian Galthey players singing and dancing in the Aviva locker room.

“It is a collective joy, we are very satisfied, we are very proud to win here. It was a tough fight, we fought like dogs for 80 minutes, ”said Jalibert.

“We played really well, we are very happy with the performance but we keep measuring because we haven’t won anything yet, so we have to focus on what we have to do.”

Captain Charles Olivon teamed up with winger Damien Penaud to make an impressive performance from Tallon Rover, who tackled 20 headers.

“It was a war from the first to the 80th minute. Personally and collectively, we had to raise the bar today, ”said Olingone.

“We needed a good performance and it works wonders for both head and body. We are going to taste it, make the most of it and it will give us momentum for the time to come. “

According to the Six Nations schedule, Galthey returned to Marcus for three days the following week before the weekend’s holiday.
