Gerrard’s Rangers end unbeaten season

Rangers ended their 2020-2021 season without a loss in the league thanks to a 4-0 win against Aberdeen this Saturday. Unheard of in Scotland for many years.

A box to finish in style. The Champions of Scotland, Rangers registered a 4-0 win against Aberdeen this afternoon. Rangers therefore ended their season without the least loss in the Premiership, with exactly 32 wins, 6 draws and 102 points from 38 games.

They can also be satisfied giving only 13 goals (26 clean sheets). This brings down a historical record, which is 14 goals scored in 1913–1914. Another notable performance: Rangers have won 100% of their matches at Ibrox Stadium.

Gerard washed down with champagne

At the end of the match against Aberdeen, there was a big celebration for the presentation of the medal and the champion’s trophy. On this occasion, Alfredo Morelos took the liberty of giving Steven Gerrard a champagne shower.

At the age of 41, Steven Gerrard achieved the first title of his coaching career. The former Liverpool midfielder, with 114 England caps, joined Rangers in 2018.

This gives them their 55th national title, their first since 2011, prior to their elimination and relegation to the Fourth Division in 2012. It therefore completes the rebuilding of the most successful club in Scotland.
