Scottish midfielder Kenny McLean remains in doubt at Euro 2020 after sustaining a knee injury in Norwich’s last league game.

McLane came out early in the second half after being denied the challenge of slipping to the penalty area with Barnesley 2–2 at the Champions.

Canaries owner Daniel Farck later revealed that the former St Mirren and Aberdeen player suffered a ligament injury from his knee.

Five weeks before Scotland kicked off their European Championship campaign against the Czech Republic, an injury could force them out of Steve Clarke’s side.

McLean reappeared on the Oakwell field with a knee brace and crutches as he and his teammates took home the championship trophy.

In his post-match press conference, Farke said: “We will have to wait a bit for the evaluation, but there are fears for MCL and internal bonding.”

“It was a tackle on Kenny with speed and straight legs but we did not get a penalty.

“He was injured and I had to remove him. Hope it’s not too bad, but we’ll have to wait for a new evaluation. “

Clarke is already missing Ranger Jack from one of his midfield options following a Rangers midfielder’s calf surgery.

Scotland striker Lyndon Dykes also injured his knee in QPR’s last league game, but manager Mark Warbutton has narrowed the extent of the problem.

After a 3–1 win over Luton, Warburton said, “To make Lyndon fall – he never falls and he’s as harsh as a piece of teak. But I don’t think the Doctor was too worried and Lyndon to come.” Was desperate. Back on the pitch because he thought he was fine.
