New York (CBS New York) – At least three MTA employees converted a storage room in the Grand Central Terminal into a “man cave”, according to an internal investigation.

According to the MTA inspector general’s office fee, the room had a futon coach, a large flow-screen television, streaming capabilities, a refrigerator, microwave, air conditioning, workout equipment and more.

MTA Inspector General Caroline Pokorni said many New Yorkers have imagined kicking cold beer into the mainstay of Manhattan real estate – especially close to this good transport. “But few will have the clout to build their own man-cave, to command the secret compartment beneath the Grand Central Terminal and sustain it with MTA resources, and maintain it at the expense of our riders.”

The Man Cave was built in the storage room below track 114 at the Grand Central Terminal, and investigators were told it had “sensitive supplies.”

Investigators say an MTA gathered equipment in a wireman, carpenter and electrician’s room. He has been suspended without pay while facing disciplinary charges.
