“We are happy that despite the difficult conditions, we had the opportunity to organize a game jam and not miss this long-standing tradition. This year we got a lot of new participants because of the opportunities to participate from home teams. It was really fun to see K’s form, discuss different ideas and create interesting projects. Even if we can’t leave the house, we all had the opportunity to spend a fun weekend together, ” Said Gedaminus Tarasevicius, director of the Lithuanian Association of Game Developers, who organized the event.
In addition to the work, discussions were given more attention this year, as if it were a small conference. Urtis Aulinkas, a designer who has created many very successful board games, shared his experience and advice, and Mykolas Romeris University professor Drs. Mykolas Romeris University discussed the possibilities of international sports development studies. Tadas Limba tells the story of his games, which have already received nearly a billion downloads. About seven thousand viewers watched the event live every day.
The theme of this year’s global event was the idea of ”Lost and Found”, which as usual was open to various interpretations and unexpected results. Although the LT Game Jam is not a competition, at the end of the event the community traditionally chose the three most fun and interesting games for all. Diggits two players together have to search for a stolen family. Remote Hero invites you to recover the lost moon using the remote TV control. And Till Death Do Us Part Skeleton travels in search of parts of his own body. The participants of the event also voted for the most loved picture of the game, the focus here was on the game in which people were about Afoot, who had survived.
All prototypes of this year’s Global Game Jam games, as well as participants from other countries of the world, number more than six thousand. On the official website of the event.
