Murtaza Nazir, 26, who was shot dead on Bagshaw Road in Stechford, Birmingham

A male who died after currently being shot in Stechford, Birmingham, on Friday has been named as Murtaza Nazir.

Mr Nazir was shot on Bagshaw Street in Stechford soon before 8pm on Friday and law enforcement have launched a murder investigation.

His family released a assertion via law enforcement, stating their lives would “by no means be the very same”.

They explained: “Our lives shattered and hearts broken.

“As a family we are united and making an attempt to heal, but the method will never be an effortless one. As a spouse and children not only have we misplaced a father, partner, son, brother, we have shed our buddy and protector.

“Every person who realized him will have their very own special memory with him, and that, in these challenging moments, will get them as a result of it.

“All we ask for is for prayers for our liked a person and for any video clips circulating on social media to be taken down. We do not desire to see this distressing footage. These are complicated occasions for us and we hope people today can show compassion toward our thoughts.

“We thank the law enforcement and ambulance company for their support and are for good grateful. To God we belong and to God we shall return. Justice will be served. If not in this daily life then the hereafter.”

West Midlands Law enforcement have asked for any witnesses or any person with info about the shooting to occur forward.
