Brian May gave fans an update about his health after a heart attack in May, which was a ‘very hard hit’.
The Queen guitarist, 73, appeared on The One Show on Friday where she told viewers that she “regained her luster” a few months later.
He declared: ‘I am fine now. That’s all you need to know. I got very hard and very few hits. A series of medical events, I believe you can tell. It takes you too low.
‘So now I’m on physical exercise and cardio rehab and I feel like I’m turning a corner.
‘I think I’ve really got my shine in the last few days. But it’s been a while. It was tough. ‘
Brian’s doctors discovered his blocked arteries when he was treated for pain due to a rupture in his gluteus maximus and compressed sciatic nerve.
‘I mean small, it’s not something that hurt me, it was about 40 minutes of pain in my chest and tightness and there was such a feeling in the hands, and there was sweat, you know, you heard,’ Is this a heart attack? ‘ ”
When he was seen in the hospital, doctors told him he would need either a triple heart bypass or stents, which would be a fairly minor operation and would let him go home the next day.
He chose the stents and added: ‘I thank them from the bottom of my heart. I think I’m in good shape for some time to come.
‘I’m not dead, I’ve come out and if it weren’t for the legs I’d be full of beans … I’ve only got one point where the legs are alive.
‘Because of this I was close to death, but the pain I felt was something different. But I’m good, I’m here, and I’m ready to rock. ‘
