Former Scotland manager and legendary Rangers coach Walter Smith has died at the age of 73. ,It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our former coach, president, club legend Walter Smith.Smith won 21 trophies in eight years, including seven Scottish league titles.
He then coached Everton in the English Premier League for four years, and was briefly assistant to Alex Ferguson at Manchester United, before becoming manager of Scotland in 2004. Rangers lost to Zenith St Petersburg in the final of the UEFA Cup (formerly the Europa League) in 2008. He retired in 2011.
