Scottish club Hibernian FC have confirmed that Jack Ross has been sacked as first team manager. Wednesday’s loss against Livingston (1-0) in a late 13th day match prompted the management to part ways with him.

After taking office on November 15, 2019 for a three-and-a-half year contract, Jack Ross will not pass the end of his contract. The Scottish technician will leave the club with his assistant John Potter. The move came after a 1–0 loss to Livingston, the seventh defeat in nine Premiership games. General Manager Ben Kensell commented: “Following a long, poor league result, the club has made the difficult decision to remove Jack Ross from his position.”

Hibernian FC then posted on their site: “We thank Jack and John for their hard work and dedication to this role. The club has progressed under his leadership, and we will miss some incredible heights such as Reaching two cup finals and finishing third in the league last season. We wish them all the best in their future endeavours.”

Hibernian Management appointed David Gray to act as interim manager until the club finds a new manager. David will be assisted by Eddie May and Craig Samson in his new role.
