A week after taking the card against New Zealand, Italy lost again, this time against Argentina, during the autumn tour (37–16). South African world champions, they won against Scotland in Edinburgh (30–15).

A week after the slap against the All Blacks (49-7) in Rome, the Italians wanted to raise their heads. But this Saturday (37-16) against Argentina, Squadra Azura was defeated again. With two attempts in the first period, thanks to Kramer and González, Puma took a clear advantage at the start of the game and were leading 17–0 after less than half an hour. Thanks to two penalties from Garbisi before the break, Italy maintained a slim hope which however quickly disappeared.

Returning from the locker room, Moroni scored in Argentina’s third attempt. Young Varney, who made the only Italian attempt a few minutes later, continued to be somewhat suspenseful, until Cordero made room for Pumas at home. This Saturday the player at Union Bordeaux Bagels, author of Argentina’s fourth attempt, gave a clear advantage of his selection before a penalty from Sanchez to close the scoring.

A penalty from a final attempt by Sanchez and Bosch ended the game 37–16. With this success, Argentina maintained their invincibility against Italy, which has been in place since 2008. Above all, the South American won a match in 2021 after seven consecutive losses.

Springboks turn the game in 15 minutes

South Africa, for their part, won (30–15) against Scotland in Edinburgh, assuming their status as world champions. But the Springboks trembled and were down 10-8 at the break, after Hogg’s try, a conversion and a penalty from Russell. However, he reversed the game in a span of fifteen minutes at the start of the second half.
