Grouped under the banner “The Open Qualifying Series”, these 16 competitions will take place in 11 countries from different circuits and will offer 46 places at the start of the most prestigious Grand Slam tournament in St Andrews in mid-July.
Who doesn’t dream of playing the 150th The Open at St Andrews?
3 players have already won their tickets to the fourth Major of the season at the Joburg Open in South Africa last month during a very busy first tournament of the season for the new DP World Tour!
The next window will be the SMBC Singapore Open from January 20 to 23, an event on the calendars of the Asian Tour and Japan Golf Tour.
In fact the Royals and Ancients do not sided with their tournament “The Series” according to the circuit. PGA Tour, DP World Tour, PGA Tour of Australia, Asian Tour, Korean Tour, Japan Golf Tour and Sunshine Tour, players from all over the world are getting a chance!
8 places through the PGA Tour, 13 thanks to the DP World Tour
For the first time ever, the PGA Tour-sanctioned New Zealand Open of Australia will offer 3 spots on the Millbrook Course in Queenstown from March 31 to April 3.
On the PGA Tour, the Arnold Palmer Invitational and John Deere Classic will also offer 3 seats. Two tickets will be picked up during the RBC Canadian Open, and a venue will be available for the Barbasol Championships a week before the Open.
The tournament is co-sanctioned by the PGA Tour and the DP World Tour, held on the same dates as the Genesis Scottish Open at Renaissance Golf Club. 3 places will be allocated in Scotland during the Irish Open in the first week of July and the Dutch Open in late May on the DP World Tour.
In addition to the Singapore Open, players on the Japan Golf Tour will have the opportunity to capture the spot during the 62nd Korea Open during the Mizuno Open without forgetting the release.
