Manchester United team news

Ole Gunnar is expected to make a lot of changes to the side that lost the last time away from home at Corsal Crystal Palace.

Dean Henderson could be sidelined instead of David de Gea, with defenders Brandon Williams and Eric Bailey sitting in front.

Mason Greenwood was brought in as a substitute against the Palace, meaning he will probably be given a start at Luton.

Aaron Van-Bisaka, who is on the bench due to a lack of health, is also ready to reclaim the right-back spot, while Nemanja Matic and Daniel James could also start.

After injuring Phil Jones and Axel Tuanzebe to later limit Solskjair’s options, Captain Harry Maguire will likely retain his place, while striker Odeon Ighalo will hand over his first start of the season.

New signer Donnie van de Beek was also impressed with his starting score as a substitute, and will probably be involved once again.

Tales men tight-lipped on UTD links

Porto full-back Alex Tales has been tight-lipped about his potential move to Manchester United.

Tales has been heavily linked with United in recent weeks and his future has been called into question following Porto’s win over Braga over the weekend.

Speaking to Sport TV, the 27-year-old said: “I am a person who is more focused on work, people want what they want, say what they want in the newspapers, but focus on the most important thing. My job is to do

“You know and so do my fellow players, whatever happens, I’m focused on the club, I’m here, I’m playing.”

Solskyre insists the defeat of the Palace is not due to signatures

Ole Gunnar Solskazar insisted that his players should have an impact on their own performance rather than blame their defeat against Crystal Palace for the lack of transfer business.

United were beaten 3-1 at home by Roy Hodgson early in the season.

And while United fans are furious they have only been allowed to enter the season with Donnie van de Beek as the only new addition, Solskjજr insists it is his existing players who should take the blame.

“We can play better than we do today,” he said. “If you look at the players on the pitch and on the bench and not here, we have to look inside first and know that we can do better.

“It was a day off, everyone knows they can improve and we will improve.

“But we always look for improvements if we have something available there at the right price.”

Forecast XI: Henderson; Van-Bisaka, Maguire, Bailey, Shaw; Matic, Lingard, Pereira; Greenwood, Ighalo, James

Forecast: Luton 0-2 Manchester United

Manchester United will make a number of changes with a difficult era coming to Brighton on Saturday, although they will have a lot of quality for Luton.

After a disappointing start to the season, Solskjair will be desperate to avoid a back-to-back defeat. We are not expecting Carabao to get out of the cup soon.
