Hibernian has rejected Saudi club Al-Faisli’s £2million offer for winger Martin Boyle.
The 28-year-old Australia international was keen to talk to the Pro-League team over a two-year life-changing contract offered by the Middle East.
This is al-Faisli’s second offer to Boyle, after the £500,000 offer was rejected in December.
Boyle – who has scored 14 goals in all competitions for Hibbs this season, as well as five in nine appearances for Australia – is under contract at Easter Road until at least the summer of 2024.
Speaking after signing the new deal in August, Boyle said, “I think everyone can see how much I appreciate it here and how it benefits my own game.
“As a team we always want to improve and that’s what’s important to me. Everyone can see the progress of the club, the players and the management and the trophies and the desire to fight for European football; I’m passionate about that and that’s what That’s where I want to be.”
