Cedric Iten is heading for Glasgow Rangers
Cedric Iten is leaving FC St.Gallen after two and a half years. Swiss International is heading to Scotland for the Glasgow Rangers. The 23-year-old striker signed a four-year deal with the Scottish record champion.
With his 19 goals, Iten was the second best goalscorer in the Super League after Jean-Pierre Nsme (32 goals) last season. Itten first joined St.Gallen on loan from FC Basel in January 2018, and after half a year the East Swiss signed a long attacker for good. After suffering a brutal ligament rupture in his right knee in September 2018, Itten developed into a full-fledged top performer in the Green-White team and made the move to become a national player.
In his first international match in November last year, he became the match winner in St.Gallen. In a 1–0 win in the European Championship qualification against Georgia, he scored the winning goal just six minutes after being substituted. Three days later he delivered two more hits in a 6–1 win at Gibraltar.
