AOC PD Aegon Pro PD32M: UHD Monitor with 32″ Mini LED, 144Hz, HDMI 2.1 and 1,600 nits

With the Aegon Pro PD32M, AOC and Porsche Design have released a 32-inch monitor whose technical data makes you sit up and take notice. Featuring a Mini-LED IPS display, it delivers a maximum brightness of 1,600 cd/m and is DisplayHDR 1400 certified. But these are by no means the only advantages of the monitor.

HDMI 2.1 and Adaptive Sync up to 144 Hz

Because the display, which is designed with a UHD resolution of 3,840 × 2,160 in 16:9 format and has a pixel density of 138 ppi, also offers a variable refresh rate of up to 144 Hz (Adaptive Sync). To be able to address this resolution and refresh rate, there are two HDMI 2.1 ports. In addition, there are USB-C ports and four USB 3.2-A ports with DisplayPort 1.4 and DisplayPort 1.4 installed.

USB-C 95 watts and 97% DCI-P3 . with

The USB-C connection provides up to 95 watts of power delivery and thus charges connected notebooks as well. Both companies specify the response time of the panel as 1 ms. With a color space coverage of 97% DCI-P3, the monitor should be suitable for gamers, graphic artists, and HDR video alike. AOC specifies the typical brightness for SDR content as 600 cd/m². Headphones can be hung on the two integrated headset holders.

Aluminum base in the style of a Porsche steering wheel

The display sits on a trapezoidal aluminum base, which is said to be in the style of a Porsche steering wheel. The base also allows a pivot function. Porsche Design has not yet revealed any details about other ergonomic functions such as height adjustment, tilt and rotation of the display. As an alternative to the built-in stand, the screw on VESA mount (100 × 100 mm) can be used. Sound can be output through two 8-watt speakers or two headphone jacks. A line-in is also available.

OSD functions can be switched using the “Wireless Quick Switch” wireless remote control for the monitor.

RGB lighting and logo projection

In addition, Porsche Design offers three-way RGB lighting on the rear of the AOC Aegon Pro PD32M display and an LED logo projection in the base, which projects the Porsche Design logo at the base.

102 watts for HDR content

The monitor’s power consumption is specified as 102 watts for HDR content and 82 watts for SDR content. The power supply is installed internally.
