Yesterday, 28 July, as part of the Progress Festival, Audi presented the e-tron GT in Latvia, marking the beginning of a new era of progress for the brand and its belief in “the future is a vision”. Now the most advanced model of the brand is available on display in Audi Center Möller Auto Riga.

With its sustainable design and sporty DNA, the e-tron GT not only sets a new bar in the premium electric car segment, but also clearly proves that uncompromising electromobility exists today.

“This is clearly the most beautiful Audi the brand has ever produced, and its iconic design will be a huge challenge to beat. The futuristic look of the e-tron GT becomes not only a true masterpiece of art, but its technologies as well which embody the brand’s strategy for the new era,” says Ilgavars Zubka, Audi Brand Manager in Latvia and Lithuania.

Unique, sustainable design combined with Audi’s sporty DNA

The Audi e-tron GT’s exterior is iconic, which notably highlights the car’s advanced character. Every surface and line is harmonious, from the headlights, which are available as an option with laser lights, to the large air diffuser at the rear. The body lines are aerodynamic, but the drag coefficient is 0.24. The interior also matches the classic Gran Turismo design – the driver’s and front passenger’s seats are mounted in a sporty low position and separated by a wide center console, while the rear seats provide enough room for adults. Furthermore, the design has been created with sustainable solutions in mind – no leather is used in the interior, plus a significant portion of the décor is made from recycled materials.

The Gran Turismo is conceptually a sporty, long-range car with first-class dynamic handling. The Audi e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT also have these features, which is certainly corroborated by the fact that the dynamic models share the assembly line with the R8 supercar. Depending on the model, the electric motors produce 476 hp or 598 hp respectively, providing dynamic power. The e-tron GT has an impressive mileage with a full battery life – up to 488 kilometers (WLTP cycle) provided by an 86 kWh battery. Its 800 volt technology provides fast DC charging with a net power of up to 270 kW. The sporty character is clearly enhanced by the unique e-tron GT sports sound, available as an option.

Like all Audi models, the e-tron GT is fully rigged. Infotainment systems, online services provided by Audi Connect and driver assistance systems meet today’s requirements.

festival of progress

The Audi Progress festival and the premiere of the e-tron GT were celebrated in Latvia with experts in their field who also believe in the belief that progress and development are the cornerstones of a successful future. Entrepreneur Eggers Nords, founder and organizer of the forum “Ledere” Solvita Kabakova, as well as Ilgvars Zubka, Audi Brand Manager in Latvia and Lithuania, joined Valdis Melder, host of the premiere, to discuss sustainability, progress and electromobility.
