The data visualization software Grafana is available in version 9.0. It brings query builders for Prometheus query language PromQL and Loki query language LogQL. These should make it easier for Grafana users to import complex monitoring and log file data from Prometheus and Loki.

Grafana 9 also brings a new, significantly faster heatmap panel and – as a beta version, exclusively must be active – A graphical overview of all available dashboards, called preview with. There have also been improvements to the search, alert and navigation bar. Grafana Enterprise now uses role-based access control (RBAC) by default.
