How much time do you spend on your Samsung smartphone per day? The Digital Wellbeing feature tells you all this and more. We’ll show you how you can view your screen time and even display it as a widget.

Let’s be honest: How many times each day do you pick up your smartphone? The time we spend “just quickly” scrolling through newsfeeds or texting adds up to several hours a day for most people. Samsung provides a feature for this called

, which shows you how much time you actively spend in front of your screen each day and week. that’s how it works.

Samsung provides you with many features for personal time management on your cell phone. There you can not only see how long you’re active in which apps each day, but you can also define rest periods, sleep time modes, and maximum screen time, for example. To do this, proceed as follows:

  1. Open Settings on your smartphone.

  2. tap on point

    Digital wellbeing and parental controls.

  3. On top of all that, you can see your screen time in hours and minutes – including a comparison of the day before. Below this are listed the longest used apps over time.

  4. Under “Your Goals” you will find the point

    screen time.

    It allows you to set daily screen time goals. To do this, select the corresponding days of the week at the bottom and then click “Set Goal” (middle) to define the desired period that you do not want to exceed (screenshot).

It’s even more convenient to have Screen Time displayed as a widget on your home screen. Samsung offers three different widget features that you can easily add to your home screen:

  1. Tap and hold an empty area on your Home screen. Then select “Widgets” at the bottom.

  2. Either search for “Digital Wellbeing” using the search bar or scroll through the list of available app widgets until you find the relevant function. Tap on this.

  3. You now have three different Screen Time and App Time widgets to choose from. Choose one, then tap
