Qualcomm has announced the successor to its Snapdragon 675 – Qualcomm Snapdragon 678 for mid-range smartphones. It brings enhanced photography and videography, an entertaining experience and a long battery life on reliable connectivity.

Its camera features are powered by Qualcomm Spectra 250L ISP. It brings portrait mode (Bokeh), low-light capture, laser autofocus and HD 4K video with recording features like slow-mo recording, 5x ical optical zoom and portrait mode. The chipset supports phones up to a 48-megapixel main and a 16-megapixel selfie camera.

For gaming, the Snapdragon 678 processor has been optimized for Unity, Messiah, NeoX and Unreal Engine 4, etc., it is also said to provide fast provide access to popular apps and content.
