Polish police have confiscated the driving license of Donald Tusk, former president of the European Council, former prime minister and leader of the largest opposition Civic Platform party, for three months. The politician himself said this on Twitter today.
There is a traffic violation, a fine of detention of driving license for 3 months and 10 points and fine. Sufficient. I accepted it without discussion.

Tusk said, “I violated the traffic rules. Fines for cancellation of driving license for three months, ten fine points and fined.”
The incident took place in the central part of the Polish province of Masovia.
“At around 11:00 am, the police detained a 64-year-old Skoda driver, who exceeded the speed limit of 50 km/h within the city limits near the city of Mlava. He was deprived of his driver. Had a license and a fine,” said local police spokeswoman Anna Pavlovska.
According to information portal Interia, Tusk was driving at a speed of 107 km/h.
