Ireland completed the Autumn Nations Cup podium. The XV of Clover defeated Scotland (31–16) on Saturday afternoon at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.
After Fiji’s seventh ahead of GeorgiaThe second ranking match of the Autumn Nations Cup took place this Saturday between Ireland and Scotland. The two selections finished second in their group and competed for the lower stage of the podium. At home, on the lawn of Aviva Stadium in Dublin, the Irish had previously been punished on several occasions. The opportunity seized by Scotland and his striker Jacobs van der Walt, of South African descent, scored nine points on three kicks, making his first selection this Saturday. Clever’s XV was not taken over by Johnny Sexton and Keith Earls to react on foot in the game. Just before halftime, the Irish left wing three-quarter took advantage of the Scots’ passivity in their own goal and received a lobed pass to the leg and flattened. Thus Ireland returned to the locker room with two lengths ahead on the scoreboard.

The turning point certainly came early in the second half when Andy Farrell’s players made two attempts in just seven minutes.. Left column Cian Healy first added five more points on the day of his 104th selection Keith Earls Doesn’t Go Into His Double Corners. Later became the second best scorer in an Irish jersey with 32 units and is now fourteen lengths short of record holder, Legend Brian O’Driscoll. Despite his only effort made by Duhan van der Merwe, Scotland showed too much indiscipline to make a comeback. Indeed, Clover of Claver scored two extra penalties through Ross Burn in the final quarter of an hour and validated their victory (31–16). Victorious, Ireland finished third in the Autumn Nations Cup, dropping Scotland to the podium ranks.
