The BBC is preparing for its biggest night in entertainment – 2020 is almost time for children.
Although the live appeal show will look a little different this year due to the coronavirus epidemic, we will still see a huge lineup display in Bonanza.
Hosts Mel Gidroick, Alex Scott, Chris Ramsay and Stephen Mangan will be joining the Pudsey Bears for the night. On top of this, we’ll look at the various celebrities who will help to support important charities that help disadvantaged children in the UK.
We can expect to see performances of Beverly Knight, MF Cuffly and Shannon Mendes during the night … Here’s what you need to know about Children Need 2020.

The BBC Children in Need’s 2020 appeal show will begin Friday 13 November From 7pm on BBC One.
Who needs to introduce children in 2020?
Let it shine Mel Gidroick Returning to host a live show with the former footballer Alex Scott MBE, Comedian Chris Ramsey And episodes’ Stephen Mangan.
Which celebrities are participating?
Various celebs are expected to be present during the 2020 appeal show, including presenter Matt Baker, who returns to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their children’s Need Rickshaw Challenge.
There will also be exclusive clips of shows like EastEnders, Strictly Come Dancing and Doctor Who, while experts from the repair shop led by Jay Blade will participate in a special segment.
Danny Dyer will also appear on the show with this wall crossover special, in which Eastinders stars Tony Clay and Roger Griffiths face difficult questions about soap in an attempt to raise money for underprivileged children in the UK.
Children in the 2020 performance
During the live show, viewers will be treated to artists with special child needs, including stunning numbers of Cinderella breeds, including stars such as Cinderella: The Musical and Six, and stars such as Shawn Mendes, Beverly Knight, and F Cuffly. Get them to sing as many people COVID-safe as possible hit ‘Happiness’.
There will also be performances by Strictly Come Dancing Professionals and Kiddy Sketch from the cast of King Gary and The Goes Wrong Show.
Kids need a 2020 schedule

While the BBC has not yet released the full schedule of the appeal show, there are many DIY Sauce kids to look forward to throughout the week, from DIY Sauce’s The Big Build to the University Challenge’s Celebrity Edition.

Described by Emma Willis, this documentary looks at how resilient children and young people in the UK are coping with the effects of the epidemic and shows how children are providing vital support in projects funded out of need.
Thursday, November 12, at 8pm (BBC One) – The Big Build: Children in Need Special
Nick Knowles returns for a special episode of DIY SOS, where the presenter and his team transform a dilapidated, useless bus shelter into the world’s first fully adaptable surf center.
Thursday, November 12, at 10pm (BBC Two) – University Challenge Special
ITV and BBC are going together in this special episode of the University Challenge, starring Ian Sterling, Charlene White, Faye Ripley and Joel Domet again facing Dara O’Brien, Anita Rani, Dan Baptist and Steve Pemberton.
Friday 13 November, 7pm (BBC One) – Live show
The BBC Children in Need celebrated its 40th anniversary on a special television evening. Includes performances by McFly, Beverly Knight and Shawn Mendes.
Sunday 15 November, 3:50 pm (BBC One) – Best Bits
Alex Scott and Chris Ramsey present highlights of the needs of BBC children over the last 40 years.
