“He was devoted, loving, kindhearted, brave, brave, just committed,” he said. “He was loved everywhere,” Munerlyn’s widow, Latryna Munerlyn, told CNN’s Don Lemon on Tuesday evening.
Ramonyea Travon Bishop, 23, Larry Edward Teague, 44, and Sharmel Lashe Teague, 45, have been charged with premeditated first-degree murder, along with other charges, Genesee County Procuratorate said in a statement Monday.
“It was foolish and stupid. And now my children (are) fatherless for the rest of their lives,” said Latryna Munerlyn.
The family had eight children, he said.
“My kids are very, very strong,” he said. “They are strong, and I say that man has instilled something in them that nobody can take away. My children are super strong. They tried to do it and my baby said: ‘As long as it’s with God, it’s OK.'”
In a statement, Genesee County Attorney David Leyton said Munerlyn was “simply doing his job” to comply with the governor’s orders.
“My king has always acted honorably,” said Munerlyn’s widow, “if he was in that job, in a club, in a restaurant, he was a man of honor. Period. They can’t take it off.”
“He was always a boy of honor.”
She says that even if her husband is gone, her legacy “will continue to live and they cannot leave.”
