Midfielder John Flick will be called into Steve Clarke’s squad for the Euro 2020 qualifiers against Russia and San Marino in Scotland on Tuesday.
Flick, 28, will receive a grand international call-up for the third time after some impressive performances from newcomers in the Premier League, Sheffield United.
He was to appear against Cyprus and Belgium in June, but was unavailable as he was about to get married.
Scotland visits Russia on 10 October and hosts San Marino three days later.
Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney was also included for the double header.
Tierney, 22, has played only once since leaving Celtic on a £25million contract in August, making his Carabao Cup debut at Nottingham Forest last week after undergoing a double hernia operation in May.
The left-back, who scored 12 caps for the national team, was not in favor of Arsenal in the Premier League on Monday. Manchester United draw.
Scotland are fifth in Group A after two wins and four losses in their first six games, while Russia are 15 points behind in second place, three points behind Belgium.
However, even if their chances of qualifying in the group are reduced, they could still reach the finals during next year’s play-off matches after winning the Nations League group last year.
