Hearts of Midlothian continue their clear run in the Scottish First Division Championship. Traveling to St Mirren facilities, the promoted won the game with a score of one to two goals.
In the first half, the club coached by Robbie Nielsen was very confident at kick-off. The players were able to keep the ball in their feet and prevented St Mirren from developing their game. In the process, Hearts of Midlothian scored the first goal of the game thanks to their midfielder Andrew Holiday (16th). The score remained unchanged until the end of the first game.
The game was perfectly balanced in the second half, but the dominance was still in favor of Hearts of Midlothian. After half an hour of play in this second half, the promoted doubled the stake through Liam Boyle. The goal gave Hearts of Midlothian a 0-2 lead in the 76th minute. Following this, St Mirren managed to reduce the score in the 85th minute to a goal by Irishman Joe Shaughnessy. The game ends with a score of 1–2 in favor of Hearts of Midlothian.
After defeating Celtic FC (2-1) last weekend, Hearts of Midlothian did it again in front of St Mirren and are now the provisional leaders of the Scottish Championship with 6 points on the clock.
