DARLINGTON (AP) – Scotland are looking forward to a decisive EM group game against vice world champions Croatia in a round of 16 fight.

“It’s an easy game on Tuesday. It’s all-or-nothing,” said Southampton FC’s Stuart Armstrong at the team headquarters in Darlington. Scotland dreams of reaching the knockout rounds of the European Championships final for the first time in 25 years.

A draw or a loss against Croatia in Glasgow on Tuesday (9:00 pm) would mean the end. If they win, the Scots will either have to hope for England to lose to Croatia and thus meet a worse goal difference than their British rivals – or finish in the top four-thirds of the group.

“Both teams want to win, a draw is not good for both,” Armstrong said. A prerequisite for Croatia to advance safely to second place is a win against Scotland.

Armstrong said that Croatia has a good team and a lot of personal qualities. They expected their own selection to eventually score a goal after beating the Czech Republic 2–0 and England 0–0. Here’s where his team has to take the next step, the 29-year-old said.
