Scotland’s victory over England at Twickenham and winning the Calcutta Cup for the first time in 38 years is the main story of the first day of the 2021 Six Nations.
Tragically, Scottish fans celebrate by draining their national barley drink stocks as they would on a normal occasion, along the streets of Edinburgh, Glasgow and everything north of Hadrian’s Wall overrun with people Couldn’t do it. It all started with Jamie Lyall, a journalist XV, who posted on Twitter a video of his father with his grandson literally going crazy in front of the TV on the final whistle of the Calcutta Cup race.
Taken from the famous Squeeze Rugby account, the video began a series of replays, resulting in a long Thread Celebrations of celebration from Goliardic that remain in digital history with the outcome of the meeting.
