how it works
Thirteen nations will represent the European continent in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™. Denmark and Germany have already qualified. There are also eight other group winners who qualify directly. The ten runners-up progressed to the playoff round, with a total of twelve teams. The remaining two places in the play-off round go to the two best group winners of the 2020/21 UEFA Nations League, who do not finish in the top two in their group in qualifying for the World Cup in Qatar 2022. So if France and Spain do not finish first or second in their groups, they will at least make the playoffs.

And although Fernando Santos’s team has conceded only two points so far (in a 2–2 draw in Belgrade), regardless of the result of the away game against the Republic of Ireland, the group will be decided only by a showdown with Serbia. in Lisbon. Dragan Stojkovic has Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Dusan Tadi, Aleksandar Mitrovic, third best scorer in European qualifying for Qatar 2022, and Dusan Vlahovi is one of the most promising and best players on the continent.

Rosa, who has been transformed in many positions, is currently only in second place. Sweden are on top with Viktor Lindelof, Emil Forsberg, Alexander Isaacs and thanks to the return of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the atmosphere in the team ahead of the last two games is very good. If Sweden wins in Batumi and the Spaniards in Athens, then there will be a showdown in Seville, where one point will be enough for the guests. Greece, on the other hand, would have to beat Spain and hope for a side from Sweden to reach the playoffs.

In July, the Italians won UEFA Euro for the first time in 53 years, setting a world record of 37 unbeaten games. Still, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Marco Verratti and Co run the risk of going into the dreaded playoffs. When Yann Sommer, Xherdan Shaqiri, Briel Embolo & Co gave Switzerland their first win against Azuri since 1993, they’ll have a ticket to Qatar as good as anything in their pocket.

Will Tomas Sousek, Patrick Schick and the Czech Republic celebrate, or will Aaron Ramsey, Daniel James and Gareth Bale bring Wales closer to their first World Cup partnership since 1958?

Andy Robertson, Kieran Tierney, Scott McTominay, John McGuin & Co could cement it with a win in Chisinau. However, in their only game played so far as part of qualification for Germany 2006, they failed to advance beyond a draw. Aran Zahvi and Israel know they have to score six points to stand a chance, while Austria, as one of the top-ranked UEFA Nations League group winners, have a pretty good chance of making the playoffs.
