Portuguese Francisco Ferdilha will fill a vacancy since Ulrich Ramey left Paris SG last June

The reorganization of the women’s section of the Girondins continues. After starter Pedro Martínez Llosa replaced Patrice Lair as coach and a new staff constitution surrounding former Lyon coach, the club announced on Tuesday the appointment of Portuguese Francisco Fardilha as technical director. The position had been vacant since Ulrich Ramey left Paris SG last June. The newcomer will be responsible for overseeing team recruitment and continuing to develop training.

Born in France, the 35-year-old technician holds a master’s degree in sports training as well as a doctorate in sports studies from the University of Stirling (Scotland), specializing in the development of creativity in professional football academies. Founder of the Special Interest Coaching Research Group, he is notably a member of the British Association of Sport and Exercise Scientists (BASES) and the Portuguese Society for Sports Psychology.

Bordeaux president Gerard López and his team recruited him as assistant to Luis Marton de Matos and manager of the training center for Lille Men’s Reserve (N3) in July 2020. The two men left the club in January, following the ouster of Gerard López and the appointment of Olivier Letange as president of Losk.
