State Bank of India (SBI) has decided to introduce a new facility for pensioners with effect from November 1, 2021. Under this, pension account holders of the bank can submit their life certificate through video call sitting at home. SBI has named this new facility as Video Life Certificate Service. So the pensioners who are unable to go to the bank can take advantage of this facility.
A simple, secure, paperless and free facility. For this, it is necessary for the pensioner to have a registered mobile number and PAN card. For this pensioners have to visit the official website https://www.pensionseva.sbi/. After selecting ‘Video LC’ from the drop down, you need to enter your SBI Pension Account Number. After this, accept the terms and conditions by submitting the OTP received on the registered mobile number of the pensioner and click on ‘Start Journey’, which has been informed by the SBI administration.

* To initiate a video call, allow camera, microphone and location.
*SBI officials will come on video call.
* You can schedule video calls as per your convenience.
* Pensioners will receive a verification code when the video call is initiated. inform the relevant authorities.
* Show your PAN card on video call. SBI officials will capture it
* SBI officials will also take photographs of pensioners and then the process will be completed.

SBI has created a special website for pensioners. The pensioner has to first register on this website. Then you can easily log in and use it. This website will facilitate several pension related activities for senior citizens. Through the website, users can download the outstanding calculation sheet.
You can also download the pension slip or Form-16 through the website. Apart from this, pension profile details, investment information and life certificate status can also be checked. Bank transaction information will also be available through this website.
