The Lion Air group, which also includes Batik Air and Wings Air, slowly began reintroducing short-haul flight routes on May 10, but the restored flights did not last long.
The company has announced that all routes have been suspended again since June 5 due to widespread problems with passengers who do not correctly comply with the coronavirus rules relating to social distance and the disclosure of health information.
In announcing the decision, Lion Air specifically indicated its concern for employee health, especially cabin crew at risk of contracting coronavirus from travelers.
“Lion Air Group supports the government in relation to Covid-19’s spread prevention efforts, through active participation in the implementation of the health protocols that have been established by the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Health and the Task Force,” he said. the company wrote in a note released on June 3.
So far, it is not known when these flights will be rescheduled. Lion Air offers refunds to passengers who have already booked their tickets, but for the time being, it does not allow anyone to make new reservations.
