President Luis Abinadar arrived in Puerto Rico a few minutes ago, where he will attend the inauguration of the island’s new governor, Pedro Pierlusi.
Abinadar left the country on a private flight through San Isidro Air Base at 8:30 am and was fired by Vice President Raquel Pena, and other civilian and military officials.
The President is accompanied by the Presidency’s Administrative Minister, Jose Ignacio Palija and Foreign Minister Roberto Allarez. This is the President’s first visit abroad after assuming leadership of the country on 16 August.

The head of state and his comrades are expected to be received at the Capitol at 9:35 am.
At 10 in the morning he will have a meeting with Peralucci, For half an hour to begin the opening ceremony.
The event will include a parade of colors, interpretation of official hymns, religious call of the venue, presentation of special guests, swearing in of the Governor, speech of the Governor and the then military honors.
The above ceremony will end at noon. Abindar and his commission are expected to board the plane at 12:30 pmFernando Luis Rivas to return to the country, at Dominic Airport.
The participation of the head of state was announced earlier this week at the inauguration of Pearlisi.
