Amy Cooper, who accused Central Park birdwatcher of threatening her, will be prosecuted, DA says

White woman apologizes for calling the cops on black man

Amy Cooper, the lady who was filmed accusing a Black man of threatening her, faces a cost of falsely reporting an incident in the third diploma, according to the DA.

“At this time I would like to motivate any one who has been the target of untrue reporting to call our Business office. We are strongly committed to keeping perpetrators of this conduct accountable,” DA Cyrus Vance explained in a statement.

Cooper was walking her pet dog in the park last month when she encountered Christian Cooper (no relation) in a wooded spot recognized as the Ramble. A dispute commenced because her canine was not on a leash, opposite to the Ramble’s regulations, the two of them advised CNN.

Christian Cooper posted on Fb a component of their exchange that he recorded, and it went viral. In the recording, he is silent for the most component, although she frantically tells police he is threatening her and her pet dog.

“I am getting a photograph and contacting the cops,” she is listened to saying in the online video. “I am heading to tell them you can find an African American person threatening my life.”

Cooper has been issued a desk visual appearance ticket and is scheduled for arraignment Oct 14.
