Boris Johnson's Live Christmas Covid Plan Announcement

As the lockdown ends on December 2, Boris Johnson is set to announce plans for a new robust three-tier system today.

The Prime Minister will present his “Covid-19 Winter Plan” to the House Commune at 30.0 pm today, which will include details of how families can spend time this Christmas.

The prime minister, who is still spontaneous, will address the nation from a distance at a press conference at 7 p.m.

He will be joined by Professor Chris Whitty, Chief Medical Officer of England, and Andrew Pollard, Director of the Oxford Vaccine Group.

The new rules will introduce a strict three-tier system of local restrictions to control the virus in England.

The non-essential shop and gym are expected to be allowed to reopen on December 2 when the current restrictions expire.

Curfews are currently in place for pubs, rest restaurants, rents and bars at 10pm to give people one more hour to finish their food and drinks.

But reports suggest new pubs and rest restaurants rent Tier 3 Only takeaways are allowed to be offered.

On Sunday, the ministers of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland agreed to allow “some limited extra domestic bubbles for a few days” on Christmas Day.

However, we will have to wait until Thursday to find out what level of entry will be in each area.
