DJ David Guetta to host second coronavirus relief concert
The internationally acclaimed deejay will spin his classic hits Saturday night from an iconic New York City rooftop, all in an effort to raise money for coronavirus charities.

“Since the beginning of [the pandemic] I was looking for an idea on how to return, “Guetta told CNN in an interview on Wednesday.” I didn’t want to do anything in my bedroom … I wanted to have people in front of me. I will give people the opportunity to interact with me on Zoom. I will have multiple screens because I like the idea of playing for the people I can see. “

The event, United At Home, will be streamed live on all Guetta social channels at 19:00. The location will remain a secret for fans until the start of the event, but Guetta says it “will be very special”.

It is the second rooftop concert that Guetta hosted to raise funds for coronavirus aid. The first one was in Miami last month and raised $ 750,000 to feed South Florida, Feed America, the World Health Organization and the Hôpitaux de Paris Foundation.

Fans can expect to hear his classics during the almost two-hour set and even new music.

“This morning I started a very special remix which is a song about New York City to open the show,” said Guetta. “I think it will be very special. I’m really trying to make the show unique. Even my hits like” I Got A Feeling “,” Sexy Chick “,” Titanium “, I’m trying to create versions that people can’t hear when they listen. radio “.

Guetta is encouraging his fans to find their own way of returning during this period.

“It’s crazy to see how little money you can make so much,” he added. “That’s what I want to tell people if they can help, it doesn’t have to be $ 10,000. With $ 1 I think [Feeding America] managed to give as ten meals. “

Guetta says that people need music now more than ever.

“All I can do is try to help … It is obviously a very difficult moment for everyone. We will all do it together. This is truly a moment that shows how the world must be united and it is always what I tried to do with my music, to bring people together … we are all the same in the face of this disease “.
