Depay saves Netherlands from Scotland, Georgia beat Romania

Less than ten days before the Euros, the Netherlands, potential outsiders, have drawn (2-2) against Scotland. The game, with a slow start and with Dutch mastery, made his first attempt through Denzel Dumfries (seventh) after about ten minutes to strike. But, on a poor recovery from Matthijs de Ligt, not yet under pressure and the loss of the ball to Memphis Depay, Jack Hendry opened the scoring from afar against a disinterested Krul (0–1, 11th). The answer was to come soon. Georginio Wijnaldum deviated cleverly for Memphis, which finished in the end (1-1, 17th). However, Scotland have returned to the front thanks to Kevin Nisbett after a precise cross from Andrew Robertson (1-2, 64th). Fortunately, Hero Memphis was there to save the furniture on the buzzer with a clear free kick (2-2, 89th). The next meeting and final preparation game for Depay’s band: Sunday, against Georgia.

There were many ups and downs in the second meeting. Florin Tanase was sent off to Romania before the break (42nd), before Solomon Quirkwellia got a second yellow and copied Georges Micautadze (0–1, 61st) just three minutes after his opening scoring. Razwan Marin had the opportunity to allow his family to return almost immediately, but he missed his penalty (65th). A few minutes later, Georgi Aburajania (0-2, 72nd) took a break. Romania did not recover, even though Andrei Virgil Ivan closed the gap (1-2, 78th).
