Emmerdale Fans have praised the heartwarming scenes between Vanessa Woodfield and Charity Dingle that aired tonight (October 12) as the couple celebrated their anniversary.
Vanessa has been away from the village for several weeks since actress Michelle Hardwick was on maternity leave, but in tonight’s scenes, Vanessa returned to find that she and Charity (Emma Atkins) were spending some quality (virtual) time together.
Concerned about the state of their relationship, in tonight’s episode Charity began to fear that something was wrong when Vanessa appeared to avoid her calls.

However, it turned out that Rona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) and Tracy Metcalfe (Amy Walsh) were plotting a big surprise for her.
Vess appeared in front of Nessa Charity in the form of a tablet computer, attached to a man, especially Vanessa in a superhero Halloween costume when they shared their first kiss in the woolpack basement.

Fans were touched by the exchange and soon took to Twitter to appreciate the scene.
“There’s more chemistry and a way of calling men than you know … I liked that #Vanniti is coming back soon Vanessa we miss you !!!” One fan tweeted.
Another wrote: “Vanity is back on our screen and it’s beautiful!”

In real life, Michelle is on maternity leave and she recently welcomed a baby boy with his wife Kate Brooks.
